On Monday November 6, our CEO Paul Malignac took part in a speed dating event organized byAmeublement français on the subject of circular economy issues.

Espace Loggia takes action every day to be virtuous.

Recycled raw materials: the challenge of the circular economy

Espace Loggia has launched its Second Life program with a CSR focus from 2022.

Our furniture is made from 90% solid French wood from eco-managed forests. It was unthinkable not to give a second life to this noble and enduring raw material.

Today, 10-15% of our furniture is made from recycled parts of our customers’ old furniture:

Our “Second Life” program in 5 points:

  • We collect old furniture from our customers free of charge .
  • We sort them piece by piece to remove what is usable.
  • We refurbish them in our factory.
  • We reintegrate the recovered parts into the production cycle.
  • We take the process to its logical conclusion, turning the unusable parts into sawdust for local farmers.

Our goal for 2025: to produce our furniture with over 20% of raw materials from the circular economy.

French short circuit

If we’re proud to advertise our French furniture, it’s because we can!

Our factory is located in Les Herbiers in Vendée.

We source our wood locally, less than 250km from our production site, to control the origin of our wood and limit our carbon footprint.

Our website Espace-Loggia. com is hosted by OVHCloud based in Roubaix (59).

French carrier logo

We mainly work with local carriers (less than 20 km from the factory) to transport our goods, to limit unnecessary journeys and reduce our carbon footprint.

French Qualéa logo

Last but not least, we work in partnership with QUALÉA in Cholet (44), a specific company in the ordinary environment, which creates and maintains jobs, promotes professional development andintegrates disabled people into the “classic” economic circuit.

Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy

The AGEC law aims to combat waste and promote solidarity-based reuse, to act against programmed obsolescence and to produce more efficiently.

At Espace-Loggia, we’ve always designed our furniture to be durable, upgradeable, repairable and reusable. That’s why our customers have trusted us for 40 years.

Our mezzanine beds and foldaway beds can be adapted to your needs. No need to change beds as your child grows.

Our Brick blocks can be used as a bed base, a chest of drawers or even a staircase.

Thanks to the Seconde Vie program, we now include 15% recycled materials in our beds.

We offer maintenance by our teams to keep your beds in working order for as long as possible.

We are also taking action in our stores by equipping all our workstations with the Linux operating system, which puts less strain on computers and ensures greater durability (minimum 5 years).
